Apple Crisp

Apple Crumble

1 can (20 ounces) of apple pie filling

1 box of yellow cake mix

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1 1/2 sticks of butter, melted

vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375°F.

In a baking dish, spread the apple pie filling evenly on the bottom. If you choose, combine the cake mix with the chopped pecans before sprinkling it evenly over the apple filling.

Pour the melted butter over the cake mix layer without stirring. Should the butter pool in specific areas, gently lift the dish and tilt it to distribute it evenly.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping turns golden brown.

Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if you like.
